Click-Clack

Dear Francesco,

Today I saw your bike team returning from their Sunday morning ride.

Wearing those red and black colours alongside the logo you designed.

For a moment I was saddened, their image caught my breath and then I remembered just how happy you’d been every time you got to spend your Sunday mornings this way.

Cycling the Appian way, going as far as Monopoli and taking in the beauty of your region.

I’d hear the click-clack of those bike shoes coming up our drive, you’d come back home exhausted yet with the biggest smile.

I’d be amazed at your stamina and how much you loved those rides.

Cycling and Puglia, two of your favourite things when you were alive. ❣️
